CTPD Blue

cuffed, originally uploaded by emilyrems.

When I came back from Connecticut this weekend, LCF asked me if there were any non-white people there. I said I thought I saw an Indian woman and her kid at Saturation Station, but I couldn’t think of any others until I uploaded this photo. See the guy on the right hand side being led away from the outdoor flea market in handcuffs by Middlebury’s finest? Yeah, he’s not white either.

It’s good to see they’re doing their job up there. He was probs a terrorist.

It was interesting. I saw a lot of non-white people in CT. I noticed it in particular because I live in Whitey Western Mass. But they were almost *all* at the amusement park. Like, up from the city for the day or something? Otherwise, my mom and stepdad’s ‘hood is so damn white, it’s whiter than where I live. I dunno why the f they retired to CT. I have always loathed CT… it’s so conservative. Their development makes me psychotic, it’s so American-Suburban-New-England-conformist. I mean, they’re happy. I am glad. But I find it pretty hard to take.

For the record, I did not note whether that handcuffed person was white or not, but almost all the other people they were in the process of arresting were white. Perhaps they were under arrest for fraternizing with non-white people. Hard to say.
